Building Resilient and Self-Reliant Communities

BUNA believes that sustainable development goes beyond healthcare. Our Social Empowerment and Livelihoods programme equips individuals—especially women and youth—with the knowledge, skills, and support systems needed to improve their economic well-being and resilience.

We work to break cycles of poverty by empowering communities to become self-reliant, productive, and socially connected.

Our Key Interventions

Vocational Skills Training
We provide practical, hands-on training in areas such as poultry keeping, welding and metal fabrication, Goat Rearing, and entrepreneurship. These programs enable individuals to start income-generating activities and build sustainable livelihoods.

Support Groups
We create safe and supportive environments for vulnerable individuals, including people living with HIV, survivors of gender-based violence, and others facing social challenges. These groups provide emotional support, counseling, and pathways to recovery and reintegration.

Community Engagement Activities
We organize inclusive events such as health camps, sports tournaments, and cultural activities that bring communities together. These initiatives promote awareness, strengthen social bonds, and encourage collective action for development.
